Book Nook: May the Faith Be with You - Bible and Bedtime Prayers

I recently had a chance to review May the Faith Be with You Bedtime Prayers and May the Faith Be with You Holy Bible. Both of them are designed to be somewhat of a riff on Star Wars with the title and cover graphic.

The prayer book contains simple prayers for younger kids. It's a good way to introduce them into praying more than the same bedtime prayer every night. The book glows in the dark, which is always a hit with young kids, and the space-themed art is perfect for budding astronomers.

The Bible is the New International Reader's Version - following the standard NIV but simplified to a third-grade reading level. This makes it a good transition Bible between the very simplified language in kids' Bibles and the formal language of adult translations. It's also a little easier for younger kids as a read-to-me version. The Bible contains images and other contents that use the marvel of God's creation, especially outer space, to visually engage readers.
